At least once a day, I take my toddlers (16months to 24 months) on a walk outside. They hold on to a rope with handles, and they are pretty darn good at it. I have one African American child in my class... we will call him Nate. After our walk a few days ago, we passed another class in the hall. That class is made up of 2 1/2- 3 year olds. One of the boys in that class said to his classmate (an African American, we will call him Shaun), "Look, it's your brother!"
Shaun looked, saw Nate, and replied "Yeah, that is my brother!"
The boys are not related at all, but it sure gave us teachers a good laugh!
